Confirmation
Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation that strengthens the bond between a person and their faith. During this sacred ceremony, the Holy Spirit descends upon the individual, affirming their commitment to the Church and empowering them to be a true witness to Christ. At its core, Confirmation is all about strengthening the faith of the individual. It represents a significant milestone in the journey of faith, providing Catholics with a deep sense of connection and belonging to the larger Catholic community. This is because the sacrament is seen as the culmination of the gifts that were imparted to the individual during their baptism.
"Remember, then, that you received a spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear. Keep safe what you received. God the Father sealed you, Christ the Lord strengthened you and sent the Spirit into your hearts as the pledge of what is to come."
